Question 2 for AQA C2 Answer

Quick revise

Low melting point:  The molecules are held to each other by weak intermolecular forces. Remember that within each molecule there are covalent bonds between the atoms. This explains why when water is melted, water molecules move apart from each other but hydrogen atoms don't separate from oxygen atoms.

Low boiling point:  The molecules are held to each other by weak intermolecular forces. Remember that within each molecule there are covalent bonds between the atoms. This explains why when water is boiled, water molecules move apart from each other but hydrogen atoms don't separate from oxygen atoms.

Poor electrical conductivity:   Covalent molecules do not pass electricity. If a substance is to conduct electricity, it needs to have free electrons or free ions available. Covalent molecules have neither of these and so canot conduct.
